ANNEX A - The Two Antichrists and the Final Conflict
Two Antichrists: One in the Church, One in Israel
Daniel 11 foretells a Northern Kingdom, Persia, defiling the sanctuary and abolishing daily sacrifices—a prophecy echoed in Daniel 8, where Greece does the same. While these passages seem contradictory, they serve to unveil two distinct Antichrist figures:
-
One within the Church, waging war against true spiritual sons and daughters.
-
One in Israel, opposing the true lineage while the counterfeit thrives.
Daniel wrestled with these visions, but the angel instructed him, "Seal these words until the time of the end" (Daniel 12:9). Their fulfillment unfolds now, as deception grips both the Church and Israel, dividing the genuine from the false.
The Ram and the Male Goat: A Spiritual Conflict
Daniel 8 reveals two symbolic figures:
-
A ram with two horns, one higher than the other—signifying two leaders within the body of Christ.
-
A male goat with a powerful horn—an adversary that shatters the ram’s strength.
This parallels Matthew 25:31-46, where Jesus differentiates the faithful from the self-exalting:
-
The ram (sheep) represents those who serve selflessly.
-
The goat embodies those who lack true faith, trusting in their own strength.
-
The sanctuary symbolizes the body of Christ.
-
The daily sacrifices reflect true worship.
-
"Casting truth to the ground" exposes the rejection of divine wisdom.
Media and Persia are not just historical—they symbolize the spiritual forces that shatter Babylon, the corrupt religious system of Revelation. Another beast appears—like a lamb, yet speaking as a dragon. This second figure mirrors Daniel’s goat, sowing division within the Church through doctrinal disputes. He masquerades as a defender of truth but exalts himself over it, persecuting the true followers of ‘the Way’ that leads to life. This is Babylon incarnate—the same spirit that condemned Christ. The false prophet of Revelation stands revealed.
The Northern and Southern Kingdoms: A Geopolitical Prophecy
Daniel 11 outlines the wars between the Northern and Southern Kingdoms. Traditionally tied to Persia and Greece—or later, Syria and Egypt—these conflicts never brought the final end. Yet Jesus’ words in Matthew 24:15 suggest Daniel’s prophecy is cyclical: "When you see the abomination of desolation..." Each fulfillment foreshadows the next, catching the world off guard.
All end-time prophecies must converge:
-
Wars and rumors of wars
-
Nation rising against nation
-
Famines, earthquakes, and "birth pangs"
-
Persecution of the righteous
-
Betrayal and hatred
-
The rise of false prophets
-
Love growing cold
-
The global proclamation of the Gospel
-
Armies surrounding Israel (Luke 21:20)
Among these, the most important signpost unfolds: "immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken". And the Son of Man will come with power and great glory"(Matthew 24:29-31). This heralds the rapture—the gathering of the elect across heaven and earth. But before Christ appears, His sign will precede Him (Matthew 24:30). Revelation 19:1-3 speaks of the white horse—a visible sign to the world—yet its Rider remains veiled from earthly eyes. Only heaven perceives His full glory.
Note: History’s past Antichrists failed to fulfill all of those conditions. Their eras were not the end. But as of today, the appointed time draws near.
The Final Conflict: Wheat Against Tares
The world approaches an irreversible breaking point. The Middle Eastern Antichrist will fall, abandoned by those who once upheld him. His defeat will mark the closing of this age.
Daniel 12:1-3 unveils the rapture—reserved for those inscribed in the Book of Life. The faithful will endure, and Daniel himself will rise again to take his appointed place (Daniel 12:13).
Throughout history, falsehood has warred against truth. Blood stains the hands of the wicked—the spirit of Cain, who slew his brother over a more acceptable offering. The righteous will always “pay the price” and be persecuted (Matthew 10:25). But this persecution is not forever.
"Blessed is the one who patiently endures and attains to the 1,335 days!" (Daniel 12:12)
Patience in suffering is the key. Truth stands unwavering. When the rapture comes, the righteous will shine like the stars forever (Daniel 12:3). Those left behind will see their error. God Himself will vindicate His elect.
This is the cost of truth. Job paid it. Enoch paid it. (Ch. 6) Every chosen one must walk this path. Yet count it all joy, for beyond it lies the final reward (James 1:2-4).
